Betty Sue (known by most as Grandma Betty) was born February 1, 1934 in Point Pleasant, MO to Cleo & Martha (Fletcher) Trantham. On November 15, 2018, Betty walked into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She attended school in Senath, MO. In 1949, she married Ewell Still and the couple relocated to the Yakima Valley. Betty worked for Prosser Memorial Hospital in their food services department. After 20 years of service, she retired in 1989. In 1984, Betty married John Forquer and the couple resided in Grandview, WA.
During her free time Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, listening to music, fishing, working in her rose garden, reading, crocheting and traveling.
At the age of 12, Betty gave her heart to the Lord and continued to follow Him every day for the rest of her life by showing kindness, love, grace and generosity to others. Betty was a member of the New Beginnings Nazarene Church in Benton City, WA.
Betty is survived by sons, Hal (Karen) Still of Shippensburg, PA. Bob “Gene” Still of Richland, WA. Son in-law, John VanWinkle of Prosser, WA. Grandchildren, Bryan (Kari) Still of Santa Rosa, CA; Cheri (Mike) Leuzinger of Petaluma, CA; Shawn (Melissa) VanWinkle of Prosser, WA; and Chris Still of Newport, WA. Great Grandchildren, Abby, Hayley, Lily & Lori VanWinkle of Prosser, WA; Caden Herrera of Petaluma, CA; Devyn Still of Santa Rosa, CA; Grace Armstrong of Yamhill, OR; Orion Still & Aurora Francis of Tiffin, OH. Great-Great Grandchild, Ivy Van Winkle-Heard of Prosser, WA. Brother, Robert (Gloria) Trantham of Holtville, CA. Numerous nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ivy & Dorothy; Brother, Billy; Son, Jimmy; Daughter, Beverly.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Grandview Church of Christ, (116 Fir Street). Memorial contributions may be made to Heart Links Hospice.
