Memorial services for Mr. Garland W. Giddens, 77, of Ashburn, GA will be held Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 4:00 PM at the graveside in New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church cemetery. Mr. Giddens passed away Monday following an extended illness.
The son of the late William Williford Giddens and Mattie R. Bryant, he was born in Turner County. He was a member of the New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church and had worked at various manufacturing facilities in construction. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Mae Pearl Ward Giddens and his siblings, Betty Jean Griffith, Rex Giddens, Randy Giddens, Riley Giddens, Rowena Giddens Sellars and Norma Denham. He is survived by his sisters Rachel Giddens and Evelyn Morrison. His brother, Roger (Starling) Giddens and his sister in law Karmen Giddens. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon from 3:00 at New Prospect Freewill Baptist Church until the hour of the graveside service at 4:00 PM. | ||||
