John Cahill, 60, died in Boston on November 2, 2018 following an illness. He was the son of the late John W. and Anna Mae Cahill, of Yorktown Heights, New York. Jack was a graduate of SUNY Plattsburg and was a proud member of Theta Kappa Beta. He was a culinary artist, and he loved to spend time in the kitchen teaching his daughters how to bake and cook, often while singing along to Frank Zappa. Notably, Jack was responsible for the menu planning and dinner execution for the opening of the Bush Library in College Station, Texas and had received praise and thanks from the former President George H. W. Bush. Jack was also an avid bridge player, amateur astronomer, and saltwater reef enthusiast.

Jack leaves behind three beautiful daughters, Margaret Mae Cahill of Brighton, MA, Abigail Louise Cahill of Cumberland, RI, and Grace Anne Cahill of Cumberland, RI. He also leaves behind a brother, Richard Cahill, and his sisters Aileen Cahill and Maura Mottolese. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service is being held on November 10th at 1pm at All Souls UUC in New London, CT.
