Billy J. Hampton, 82, of Ashburn passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Billy was born on May 4, 1936 in Worth County to the late Isaac and Doris Walker Hampton. He retired from the City of Ashburn Public Works Department. He was also a member of Westside Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Doris (Jack) Martenn of Ashburn; daughter-in-law, Julie Hampton of Ashburn; brothers, Troy (Linda W.) Hampton of Tifton and Wayne Hampton of Glenville;grandchildren, Hunter Martenn, Hayden Martenn and Chris Hampton; great-grandchildren, Natalie Hampton, Olivia Hampton and Ana Hampton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lauvise Cribbs Hampton and his son, Randy Hampton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Perry Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends Wednesday, October 31, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Perry Funeral Chapel. | ||||
