Gloria J. "Glo" (L'Abbee) Klinkowski

CHICOPEE ~ Gloria J. “Glo” (L’Abbee) Klinkowski, 73, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Friday, October 19, 2018. She passed into Eternal Life at home in Chicopee surrounded by all the memories that she loved and cherished. She was born in Holyoke on December 9, 1944, a beloved daughter of the late Leo E. and Ida May (Duquette) L’Abbee. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from the former Saint Jerome High School in Holyoke and lived in Chicopee for most of her life. She was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and loved shopping on The QVC Network. An avid crafter and baker, she was always giving away her crafts to family and friends and was well-known for making the best peanut butter balls. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, James M. “Klinker” Klinkowski who was Called Home on April 23, 2006. They were married on July 11, 1964 at Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 41 years of happiness together. She leaves her two devoted sons, Kevin J. Klinkowski (Sharon), of Chicopee and Brad M. Klinkowski (Lisa), of Southwick; her five cherished grandchildren, Kassandra and Kylee Klinkowski, Jenna Tourtellotte (John), and Andrew and Alexandra Klinkowski; her two cherished great-grandsons, Luke and Theodore Tourtellotte; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family members. She will also be deeply missed by her beloved canine companion, Miley. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her two dear brothers, Raymond and Thomas Godin; and her dear sister, Jacqueline Willis. Her family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. which will be followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The funeral home parking lot and main entrance are located at the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will be private at the convenience of her family.
