Obituary

Richard D. Kornacki, 80, formerly of Joyce Ann Drive, Greenville, died Monday, October 22, 2018 at Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the son of the late Felix and Stella (Tilenda) Kornacki.

Born in Providence, he had lived in Greenville since 1963 and had previously lived in Providence. He had served in the Navy Reserve.

He leaves his St. Philip Church Family and his Brookdale Family.

Richard was most recently a Resident Ambassador at Brookdale in Smithfield. He was a proud magician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians for 25 years. He received Magician of the year in 2001 and often performed for patients in area hospitals. He was often found entertaining the Legislature and employees at the RI State House. He was a member of Legion of Mary, the St. Philip Church Choir and the Knights of Columbus and a member of The American Legion, Balfour-Cole Post 64.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Avenue, Greenville. Burial with Military Honors will be in RI Veteran’s Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to St.Philip Church, 622 Putnam Avenue, Greenville, RI 02828
