Thomas J. Dunn, age 83 of Westwood passed away October 17th at the Charlwell House in Norwood. Born in NY, NY, he was raised in Greenwich Village, NY and graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School and St. Peter’s College in NJ. He went on to serve in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Germany. He worked for the Hartford Insurance Co. for many years before retiring. After retirement, Tom worked in Security at Fenway Park in the Visitors’ Clubhouse. Tom was a Selectman for the Town of Westwood for 24 years and an active parishioner at St. Margaret Mary Church in Westwood where he was a lector and Eucharistic minister. He enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean, Hawaii and Tokyo and spending time with his grandchildren.
Beloved husband of the late Pauline E. (Egan). Loving father of Polly A. McLeod of Westwood and Thomas E. Dunn and his wife Kozue of Tokyo, Japan. Devoted grandfather of Ali Kelley and her husband William of Norfolk, VA and Kailey McLeod of Norwood. Brother of Francis X. Dunn of Hohokus, NJ and the late William Dunn and Genevieve McGraw. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Sunday from 4-7 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Margaret Mary Church Westwood Monday morning at 10. Burial private.
