CHICOPEE ~ James J. Fournier, 58, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, October 3, 2018. He passed into Eternal Life at Holyoke Medical Center in Holyoke surrounded by the care and comfort of his family. He was born in Holyoke on March 1, 1960, the beloved son of the late Raymond G. and Corinne A. (Cartier) Fournier. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School and had lived in Fairview most of his life. He was employed as an automotive mechanic and had worked for many local repair shops. Above all, James loved spending time with his family and his many friends. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jane H. (SadowskI) Fournier who was Called Home on May 5, 2016. He leaves his loving daughter, Lyndy A. Fournier of Chicopee; his dear sister, Leslie Cartier of Ipswich; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Fournier and Cartier families. His funeral and burial will be private at the convenience of his family.
