NATICK: Steven J. Tozier, 65, lifelong resident of Natick, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 3rd in Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham after being stricken ill.
Steven was born on December 5, 1952 in Newton to the (late) Laurence and Anne (Connolly) Tozier. Steven attended and graduated from Natick High School, earned his Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and began a career for many years working for United Technologies in Connecticut and Brazil. Later Steve was employed by Fairchild Controls in Maryland. Most recently he was a self-employed consultant for Fairchild Controls.
Steve is survived by his niece Talitha Pacheco and her husband Russel of Swansea, MA; his nephew Laurence Tozier III of Portsmouth, RI; his sister-in-law, Martha Tozier of Portsmouth, RI; his great nephews and niece: Joseph, Tyler, and Olivia Pacheco of Swansea, MA; his ex-wife Penny Dunn Alfano; several cousins, and many, many close friends who include: Bryant Hill, Billie Christie, and Joe O’Sullivan. In addition to his parents, Steve was also predeceased by his brother, Laurence “Neil” Tozier Jr.
Steve enjoyed traveling, reading, watching the Patriots and Red Sox, and any new gadget that came along. His latest passion was entertaining at his newly built fire pit at his home. Any time spent with family was precious to him. He will be sorely missed.
Visitation for Steven will be held on Saturday, October 13th from 10:00-11:45 A.M. in John Everett & Sons, 4 Park Street, Natick, MA 01760. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 P.M. in the Chapel of John Everett & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
