SOUTH HADLEY ~ Evelyn G. (Robillard) Fournier, 78, a longtime resident of South Hadley, was Called Safely Home on Monday, October 1, 2018. She passed into Eternal Life at her home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born at home on Naomi Street in the Aldenville section of Chicopee on May 2, 1940, a beloved daughter of the late Albert and Yvonnette Robillard. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from the former Precious Blood High School in Holyoke in 1958 and had lived on Roy Street in the Willimansett section of Chicopee for many years. She later moved to South Hadley in 1990 where she lived the remainder of her life. She was employed for many years as a customer service representative at University Products in Holyoke and retired in 2012. During her leisure time, she enjoyed walking and spending time with her family and her many friends. Most of all, she loved her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Gerard A. “Jerry” Fournier who was Called Home on January 10, 1997. She leaves her four devoted children, Keith E. Fournier of South Hadley, Karen M. Tonelli and her husband, Gregory, of Cummington, Kim E. Gadoury and her husband, Mark, of Chicopee and Kelly M. Jourdain and her husband, Jeffery, of Becket; her nine cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Tonelli and his wife, Jacquelyn, Brian Tonelli, Jillian Tonelli, Shelby Tonelli, Colin Gadoury and his wife, Bridget, Tyler Gadoury, Marisa Gadoury, Jake Jourdain and Emmaeve Jourdain; her cherished great-grandson, Cameron Gadoury; her dear brother, Jean Robillard of Apalachan, NY; her dear sister, Denise Sliwa of Chicopee; her dear sister-in-law, Peg Robillard of Pittsfield; her two dear brothers-in-law, Gerard LeBlanc and Roger Fournier and his wife, Cecile, all of Chicopee; her dear sister-in-law, Gloria Piela and her husband, Walter, of Chicopee; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Fournier and Robillard families. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her two dear brothers, Bernard Robillard and Marc Robillard and his wife, Lois. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1 p.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
