Mr. Salvatore Alfano, a resident of Somerville, passed away at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston on Tuesday morning, September 25, 2018. He was 70 years old.
Born in Palermo, Sicily on September 30, 1947, he was the beloved son of the late Giuseppe and Anna (Caminita) Alfano. Mr. Alfano was a loving father and grandfather. In his spare time, he enjoyed singing and working as a Radio Disc Jockey. He also loved soccer. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Salvatore is survived by his loving children; Alida I. Alfano of Manchester, New Hampshire, Dario and his wife Christina Alfano of Somerville and Oriano S. Alfano of Onset, siblings; Mary and her husband Sal Eracleo of Westford, Nereo Stecich of East Falmouth, Norma and her wife Kristine Stecich of Mashpee and John Stecich of East Falmouth, sister~in~law; Ana Stecich of Shirley, grandson; Santino Alfano of Somerville and several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Giulio and Mario Stecich.
His Funeral Service will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment will be held in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
