CHICOPEE ~ Ingeborg Maria (Hoelter) Martino, 81, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called to Biker’s Heaven on Sunday, September 23, 2018. She entered into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Gelsenkirchen, Germany on December 6, 1936, the beloved daughter of the late Georg Wilhelm and Elisabeth (Bauer) Hoelter. She was raised and educated in Wiesbaden, Germany and immigrated to Shreveport, Louisiana in 1957. She became a U.S. Citizen in 1961 and moved to Chicopee in 1964. She later moved to the Fairview section of Chicopee in 1970 where she lived the remainder of her life. She was employed at the former Elco Dress Company in Holyoke and later worked as a sales clerk at the former Aubuchon Hardware Store on Memorial Drive in Chicopee. She loved getting tattoos and was a “biker’s mama” riding on her daughter’s motorcycle. She was always willing to open her heart and home to anyone who needed help, whether people or animals in need. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, her many friends and pets. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank T. “Marty” Martino who was Called Home on July 6, 2005. They were married on March 8, 1980 in Chicopee and were blessed with over 25 years of happiness together. She leaves her four loving children, Elizabeth “Libby” Martel and her husband, Denis, of Chicopee, William A. “Willy” Meserve of Clarks Summit, PA, and Gary W. Meserve and Douglas “Danny” Meserve, both of Chicopee; her seven cherished grandchildren who will deeply miss their “Oma”, Nicole Martel-Moylan and her husband, Christopher Moylan, Rebecca D. Kingston and her husband, Barry, Heather Carpenter and her husband, Matthew, Grant and Ariana Meserve, and Drew and Bryan Meserve; her eleven cherished great-grandchildren, Teagan, Taevan and Tessa Martel-Moylan, Jessica Moylan, James Moylan and his wife, Kelly, Rebecca Moylan, Bianca Kingston and Barry Kingston, II and Wesley, Trinity and Azella Carpenter; her cherished great-great-grandchildren; and her many dear extended family members and friends. Her family will receive friends on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. which will be followed by a 10:30 a.m. Celebration of Life Service at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.). Her Committal will follow at 1 p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001. Her family encourages everyone to ride their motorcycles on the day of her funeral.
