Mkrtych Mkrtchyan was able to pursue life to its fullest by marrying two passions of his: academia and public service. His love of Armenia was limitless and Armenia was always on his mind. Mr. Mkrtychan was a member of the general council of the World Armenian Congress and the Board of the Union of Armenia in Russia. While in Moscow he achieved a Doctorate in Economics and went on to teach at the Academy of National Economy under the government of the Russian Federation. He is the author of numerous articles and books on economics and was considered an expert in the field.
