Obituary

Sterling: Rose (Kazarian) Yaylaian 92, of Sterling MA formerly of Shrewsbury MA daughter of David and Sarah (Alexandrian) Kazarian, passed away Sunday September 16, 2018. Rose was the wife of Vahan (Van) Yaylaian for 57 years who predeceased her in 2007.
Rose is survived by her two sons, Thomas Yaylaian and his wife Joanne of Worcester and Glen Yaylaian with whom she lived of Sterling, and her daughter Lori Dobbs of Shrewsbury. Rose is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Talya Perron and her husband Michael of Shrewsbury, Brad Yaylaian and his wife Brittany of Holden and their daughter Brielle; Ross Yaylaian of Sterling and Seth Yaylaian of Worcester; Alyssa Dobbs of Worcester and Steven Dobbs of Shrewsbury and his daughter Alaina. Rose also leaves her sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A special thank you to Sona Murphy of Paxton Rose’s niece, and Barbara Horgan of Newport RI Rose’s best friend for their love, care, kindness, support, and compassion throughout the years.
Rose was predeceased by her brother Kazar Kazarian and her sisters Lillian Kazarian and Julia Kiremitjian.
Rose enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved hunting for and collecting antiques. She watched and followed all of the local college and professional sports teams. Rose had a quick wit and a fun loving personality. She enjoyed meeting new people and striking up conversations with anyone and everyone she would meet. Rose loved life and had a kind heart. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Rose was a member of The Armenian Church of our Saviour.
There are no calling hours. Rose’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Armenian Church of our Saviour. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Donations can be made to the Armenian Church of Our Saviour 87 Salisbury St in Rose’s memory. Nordgren Memorial Chapel is directing arrangements.
