Edward L. Klein, 93, passed away on September 2, 2018, in Ventura, CA. He was born March 21, 1925, in Prairie Home, Missouri, to William and Caroline Klein. He was a Navy veteran, serving in World War II and the Korean War. He worked for Santa Barbara Savings for 32 years, retiring in 1985. He volunteered at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, AARP Taxaide program, City of Ventura, American Heart Association, Lion's Club, Many Meals, and Family to Family. He was preceded in death by his first wife Agnes (Distler) Klein of 46 years, and most recently Victoria (Godeck) Klein of 22 years, sisters Regina Huhmann, Margaret Mikulic, brothers Sylvester Klein and Edwin Klein. He is survived by his six children: Ed (Adel) Klein, Patty (Tim) Miller, Cindy (Brian) Arnold, Debbie Klein, Karen (Greg) Stanley, and Sandy Klein; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters Catherine Johnston, Mary Louise Williamson, and brother Jerry Klein, as well as six step-children: Steve, Pam, Nancy, Keith, Annette, Paul and their families.
Funeral services will be at Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Sept 7, 2018 at 11:00 am with private burial at Ivy Lawn Cemetery.
