Obituary

Billy Covey passed away suddenly at the age of 59 in Ventura, CA with his wife Ingrid by his side. Family and friends have been supportive and, as always, surrounded Billy and Ingrid with love. Billy was born on September 28, 1958 in Las Vegas to his father, William Henry Covey and mother, Hilda Margaret Dickinson Covey.
He is survived by his wife, Ingrid Pierce Covey, his sister, Rhea and her husband, Bruce Ferguson.
Billy grew up in Las Vegas; he attended and graduated from Western High School in 1976. He moved to be with his family in 1978.
Billy and Ingrid met in 1989 in Ventura and married in Jamaica on October 13, 1993. Billy had learned carpentry from his father, Bill and eventually opened his own construction company in Ventura. Billy built Covey Construction with his skillful quality workmanship, integrity, and honesty into a successful and thriving business.
Friends were important to Billy. He loved to entertain: having friends over and hang out, taking his 5th wheel and boating around various lakes annually with friends. True passions of his were taking ski trips to Mammoth and, most importantly, playing golf with his comrades.
Billy was dearly loved by all who knew him and will be remembered by all his friends and clients for his integrity, honesty, and big heart. He was charismatic and would do anything for anybody; he truly had a heart of gold.
We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
