SPRINGFIELD ~ Ramona T. “Mona” (Moreau) Bellefeuille, 89, of the East Springfield section of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, August 26, 2018. She passed into Eternal Life at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born at home on Hampden Street in Chicopee on June 4, 1929, a beloved daughter of the late Albert and Alexina (Breault) Moreau. She was raised in Chicopee until 1946 when she moved to Springfield where she lived for the remainder of her life. She was last employed in the Cafeteria for the Springfield School Department. Most of all, she was a wonderful homemaker to her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She was a faithful communicant of Saint Michael Church in East Longmeadow. She leaves her beloved husband and soul mate, Raymond E. Bellefeuille. They were married on September 2, 1946 at the former Our Lady of Hope Church in Springfield and were blessed with nearly 72 years of happiness together. She also leaves her two loving daughters, Cheryl A. Muscolo of East Longmeadow and Diane L. Bellefeuille of Springfield; her two cherished grandchildren, Lori Nickerson and Eric Jeremicz; her three cherished great-grandchildren, Justin and Samantha Ziencina, and Abigail Nickerson; her two dear sisters, Norma Eaton and Jeannine Marchand, both of Belchertown; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and extended members of the Bellefeuille and Moreau families. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her loving son-in-law, John A. Muscolo who was Called Home on June 29, 2018; and her dear brothers and sister, Roger, Ernest and Gloria. Her funeral will be held on Friday morning, August 31, 2018 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107, (funeral home will open at 9:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in Saint Michael Church, 110 Maple Street, East Longmeadow, MA 01028. Her burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Her family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Saint Michael Open Pantry, 128 Maple Street, East Longmeadow, MA 01028.
