8/8/2018

LUDLOW ~ Lorraine C. (Lambert) Desormiers Tatsch, 83, a longtime resident of Ludlow, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. Lorry passed into Eternal Life at her home surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on September 7, 1934, the beloved daughter of the late Frank A. and Irene J. (Lajoie) Lambert. In 1943, she moved with her parents to Chicopee where she graduated in 1951 from Chicopee High School. She later lived in Springfield and moved to Ludlow in 1996, the same year she retired from government service as an Investigative Assistant with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. Lorry soon found, however, that retirement did not suit her high energy level, and she began what would become a 22-year second career as a Legal Assistant for Springfield attorney John F. Dalsey, her all-time favorite boss. Lorry was predeceased by her husband, Albert J. Desormiers who was Called Home on April 8, 2006 and by her husband, C.C. Tatsch of Llano, Texas, who was Called Home on November 10, 1986. She was also predeceased by her beloved dog, Tiny who was the light of her life and her faithful companion for many years. She is survived by her two loving sons, Daniel L. Tatsch and his wife, Rebecca, of Frisco, Texas and Karl F. Tatsch and his fiancée, Kristie, of Llano, Texas. “Memere” will be sadly missed by her eight loving grandchildren, Matthew, Catherine (husband Caleb Massey), Carter, Chanel, Kyndall (husband Justin Trahan), Brianna (husband Michael Costantino), Brandon, and Bryant; and her two cherished great-granddaughters, Stella and Lucy Costantino. Lorry is also survived by her older brother, Frank Lambert and his wife, Jane, of Conway, Arkansas and their children. She will be missed by her weekly “canasta buddies” Rita, Bill, Mary, Armand, and Carol and by her Sunday-evening poker group. Her relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Her Life on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will be private at the convenience of her family. Lorry had an enormous soft spot in her heart for animals. At Lorry’s request and in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Lorry’s memory to Nowzad Dogs, 2770 Main Street, Suite 161, Frisco, TX 75033, or to the animal-welfare charity of your choice.
