MEMORIAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 1:00 PM ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20TH
AT PROSSER FUNERAL HOME. A RECEPTION WILL FOLLOW AT THE WALTER CLORE WINE AND CULINARY CENTER IN PROSSER.

Charles Potter passed away on July 10, 2018. He was born on July 23, 1935 in Port Angeles, Washington. He was raised and educated in Port Angeles and graduated from Port Angeles High School. After graduation, he entered the US Army and became a member of one of the first Green Beret units, rising to the rank of Sergeant. He served as an “Eisenhower Advisor” in Vietnam prior to US official entry into the war.

After an honorable discharge he attended WSU for one year, and then began his working years. He was a buyer for Boeing in Seattle for several years, then worked in a similar capacity for a Boeing subsidiary where he became a Department Manager. Upon moving to Prosser in 1986, he worked as a Department Manager for Boeing Computer Services, a Hanford support company.

Charles retired in the late 90’s. He served as a Prosser City Councilman and on the Prosser Hospital Board of Commissioners for many years and was a long time active member of the Prosser Rotary Club.

He enjoyed reading, movies, camping, hiking and traveling in the RV. He loved interacting with children and storytelling; and he really liked both College and NFL football.

Charles is survived by his wife, Sharon Dietrich Potter (Married March 17, 1981) of Prosser; his brother, Dennis Potter of Port Angeles; his daughter, Laura Jepsen (Dave) of Kennewick; sons, John Potter and Dave Potter, both of Bothell; five beloved grandchildren, Erica Bjella, Emily McNabb, Elise Fleming, Maxwell Potter and Gage Potter; five precious great-grandchildren, Grant, Charlotte, Noah, Jane and baby boy McNabb due in September; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.

Chuck was loving, generous and strong. He could not abide bullies and defended anyone who needed help. He will be missed more than we can say.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 20th at Prosser Funeral Home. A reception will follow at the Walter Clore Wine and Culinary Center in Prosser.
