Floy Katherine Harper
7/12/2018

Loving wife, mother, and grandmother Floy Katherine Harper, 68 of Benton City, went to be with her Heavenly Father on the 12th of July, 2018 while surrounded by her loved ones. Floy was born to Jess and Charlotte (Elliott) Greenough, in Yakima, WA on December 7th 1949. She graduated from Columbia High School in 1968. Floy was a devout Christian, and served her Lord Jesus Christ. She loved bull riding, fishing, and her animals, especially her horses. She fulfilled her lifelong dream of traveling to Alaska in 2014. Floy worked on the railroad for Burlington Northern for 4 years as Carman, performing maintenance, before leaving to work out in the area as the first female pipe fitter at Hanford in 1978.
Floy is survived by her second husband, of 21 years, Phil Harper, and her two children from her first marriage, Thomas Morris and Carrie Norton (Morris), as well as her 6 grandchildren and her 3 great-grandchildren; along with her two brothers and her sister.
Services will be held at The First Baptist Church of Benton City on August 11th 2018, at 11am.
Her family would like to express a great gratitude to those who helped aid in her care and comfort in her final days.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested donations be made in her honor to either Meals On Wheels, or a reputable Animal Rescue (business cards of which will be provided at the service). You may leave a message for the family at www.Prosserfuneralhome.com
