Frances E. (French) Phillips, 89, of Medford passed away in her daughter's home on Monday. The daughter of the late John French and Alice (Callahan) French, she had been a Medford resident all her life. Mrs. Phillips was a member of the United Baptist Women of Medford, and the treasurer for her church, and loved to spend time with her family. The widow of Howard W. Phillips Jr., she is survived by one daughter; Laurie and her husband Thomas Stanley of Medford, one son; Howard W. Phillips III and his wife Deborah of Medford, one surviving sister; Sheila and her husband Richard Barry of Medford, five grandchildren; Jessica, John, Julia, Emily, and Samantha. There are many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 2nd from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Beals, Geake, and Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Ave, Medford. A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, August 3rd at 10:00 am at the Magliozzi Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Cemetery.
