Mary M. (Beauchamp) Sullivan

SPRINGFIELD ~ Mary M. (Beauchamp) Sullivan, 94, a longtime resident of Windemere Street in the East Springfield section of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Friday, July 13, 2018. She passed into Eternal Life at the Mont Marie Health Care Center in Holyoke surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born in Holyoke on September 21, 1923, a beloved daughter of the late Harmas and Martha (Lynch) Beauchamp. She was raised in Holyoke, graduated from Holyoke High School and had lived in Holyoke until 1949 when she moved to East Springfield. She was employed for many years as a Telephone Operator for Monarch Life Insurance in Springfield. She was a communicant of the former Saint Mary Church, now Mary, Mother of Hope Church, in East Springfield. She was a member of the Saint Mary Women’s Guild, Griffin’s Friends, the Sisters of Saint Joseph Quilting Group and enjoyed sewing and knitting. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family and was proud of her Windemere Street home in East Springfield. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Francis X. Sullivan who was Called Home on December 23, 1991. They were married on September 5, 1949 at the former Holy Cross Church in Holyoke and were blessed with over 42 years of happiness together. She leaves her three loving children, James F. Sullivan of Westfield, Martha S. Gessner and her husband, Paul, of Westfield, NJ and Maureen A. Sullivan and her husband, Mitchell Feldmesser, of Middlefield; her two cherished grandchildren whom she adored, Eileen Lloyd and her husband, Alexander, and Patrick Gessner and his wife, Kathryn; her four cherished great-grandsons, Benjamin and Maxwell Lloyd and Henry and Oliver Gessner; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends and extended members of the Sullivan and Beauchamp families. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her dear brother, Robert Beauchamp and his wife, Y. Jean Beauchamp. Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday morning, July 17, 2018 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her Burial will follow the Mass at Notre Dame Cemetery, 63 Lyman Street, South Hadley, MA 01075. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday morning, July 17, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. before the Mass.
