EASTHAMPTON – Judith A. “Judy” Norwood, 78, of Easthampton and a former longtime resident of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Monday, July 9, 2018. She passed into Eternal Life at Care One at Northampton surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born in Springfield on December 3, 1939, a beloved daughter of the late Thelma M. (Paul) Corn and Richard Corn. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee High School where she was a Band Majorette and lived in Chicopee for many years before moving to Easthampton around 2008. She was employed for 27 years and retired as a Supervisor at Ren Electronics in South Hadley. She previously owned and operated Judy’s Treasure Chest on Britton Street in Chicopee. She leaves her loving son, Timothy J. Norwood of Royersford, PA; her loving brother-in-law, Raymond C. Churchill, Jr. of Connecticut and Arizona; her cherished nieces and nephew, Tracy Lynn Churchill of Surprise, AZ, Pamela Churchill and her partner, Paul Rosow, of Scottsdale, AZ and Raymond C. Churchill, III and his wife, Lauren, of Griswold, CT; and her cherished grand-niece, Sydney Churchill of Griswold, CT. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her loving sister, Marilyn Churchill who was Called Home on November 2, 2011. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday morning, July 20, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 11 a.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 (the parking lot is located in the rear of the funeral home).
