Obituary

Kathy Rose Juren, age 56, of Framingham, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2018, surrounded by the love of her family, after battling Alzheimer's.
Kathy was born in NYC to the late Ruby and Paul Juren. She was the sister of Susan Castillo of Framingham, with whom she resided for many years.
Kathy grew up in Brooklyn with a Mother who with loving care, nurtured Kathy and encouraged her to reach her highest potential. Kathy attended NYC schools, graduated from Queens OTC, and went to work in the community.
She moved to Framingham 30 year ago and lived independently for many years at Framingham Green apartments.
She received training at Charles River Industries for employment and worked at McDonald's on Rt. 9, Pizza Hut, Walmart, Whole Foods, and Babson College in the cafeteria.
Kathy made friends wherever she went, had a gift for compassion and a smile that was infectious. She loved being involved in the community and particularly enjoyed dancing to Friday night concerts on the Framingham Common, with her longtime boyfriend, Charles Page.
Besides her loving family, her greatest joy was traveling extensively with her family around the world. Paris was a particular favorite, where she was able to order her coffee in French.
Besides her sister, Susan Castillo, of Framingham, Kathy is survived by her nephew Jason Castillo and his wife Meg, nephew Jared Juren and his wife Tracy, nephew Jesse Juren and sister-in-law Deborah Juren; great nephews Jacob, Logan, Hunter and great niece Jada, as well as many cousins and good friends around the country.
She was predeceased by her brothers Gregory, Paul and Rudy Juren ,and nephew Joe Castillo.
Kathy's life will be celebrated on Saturday, July 28 at 11 AM at the Paulist Center, 5 Park St. in Boston. All are welcome.
Donations in Kathy's memory may be made to the Down Syndrome Congress in Burlington MA.
Kathy will be remembered as a beautiful ray of sunshine to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
