Obituary

West Boylston: Deborah A. (Wyman) Atchue, 68, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her son and daughter-in-law Scott and Kathleen Atchue of West Boylston and their children Griffin, Regan and Evan, daughter and son-in-law Saara and George Cox of Spencer and their children Jordan and Delaney, and daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and Sean Lemay of West Boylston and their children Charlotte and Samuel. She also leaves her sister Cynthia Wyman, brother and sister-in-law Robert Wyman, Jr and Debora Wyman, brother William Wyman, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Marjorie and William Clark, mother-in-law Shirley (Atchue) Supernor and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Ralph Atchue, Jr., her parents and her sister Nancy (Wyman) Smith Teachout.


Deborah was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Robert and Donna Wyman, Sr. She graduated from Burncoat High School in 1968 and worked for the US Postal Service for many years, as a postal clerk. She was an active member of St. Michaels on the Heights Church for over 50 years and a member of the “Queens” of West Boylston. She enjoyed gardening, museums, painting, arts & craft projects, shopping, local and family history, but she was most passionate about her church and her family. Deborah’s proudest achievement was being “Nana” to the 7 truest loves of her life, her grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 5pm to 8pm in Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A funeral will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. in St. Michaels on the Heights Church 340 Burncoat St. Worcester. Graveside memorial to take place at a later date at Mount Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Deborah’s name may be made to St. Michael’s on the Heights Memorial Fund or a charity that speaks to your heart.
