RAYNHAM – Maria C. (Vieira) Medeiros, age 92 of Raynham and formerly of Fall River, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Morton Hospital. Born in Fenais da Luz, São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late João Vieira Lima and the late Vicencia (Botelho) Lima. Maria was also the beloved wife of the late José L. Medeiros. Prior to retiring, Maria worked at the Essex Mills as a Machine Operator for 20 years. She was also a parishioner of St. Michael’s Parish.
One of Maria’s major accomplishments in life, was that she lived to see and enjoy five generations of family.
She is survived by her son, Peter C. Medeiros of Raynham and her daughter, Isabel Rodrigues of Canada; her sister Maria C. Lima of Fall River; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter; nieces & nephews. Maria was the mother of the late José V. Medeiros and the sister of the late João V. Botelho, Manuel V. Botelho, and Maria dos Anjos Simão.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River, MA on Friday here at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church, Essex St. at 10:00 A.M.
