Shannon A. (O’Brien) Pisarczyk, age 41 of New Bedford, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully May 20, 2018 at Bridgewater Nursing Home surrounded by family, following a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of John T. and Kathleen A. (Holland) O’Brien. Shannon was a graduate of St. Edward’s School, Fontbonne Academy in Milton, and received her Paralegal certification from Northeastern University. She had been employed as a Paralegal for several years prior to becoming a Home Health Aide in New Bedford. Shannon was a free spirit who found the bright side of life in all situations. She was a devoted mother to her son Finn and enjoyed listening to music.
Shannon was the wife of John Pisarczyk of New Bedford; mother of Finnbarr Pisarczyk of Brockton; sister of Mary K. Howland and her husband John D. of Brockton, Kathleen A. Ehlers and her husband Timothy T. of Brockton, Tara A. Kiley and her husband Sean P. of Bridgewater and Michael F. O’Brien and his wife Kathleen K. of Mt. Airy, MD. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. The family would like to thank the staff of Bridgewater Nursing Home for all their care and compassion given to Shannon.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday May 24, 5-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Friday at 8am for a funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shannon’s name to the Bridgewater Nursing Home, 16 Pleasant Street, Bridgewater, MA 02324.
