The funeral services for Frances Buice Pate, 100, of Ashburn, Ga. will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 22, at Amboy Baptist Church in Turner County. Mrs. Pate passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018.
The daughter of the late Isham Delbert Buice and Ethel Armenthia Brooks Buice, she was born in Buford, GA on April 21, 1918. Mrs. Pate was the widow of Bennett Pate. She was a retired teacher with Turner County Board of Education after 32 years of teaching. She was a member of the Professional Association of Georgia Educations. She was a member of Amboy Baptist Church, Turner County, Georgia. Survivors include one daughter, Susan P. (Ronald) Hogan of Valdosta, GA; three grandsons, Dr. Bennett Pate (Leigh Ann) Hogan of Valdosta, GA; Samuel Ross (Casey) Hogan of Valdosta, GA; Paul Adrin (Jennifer) Hogan of Clemson, SC and six great-grandchildren, Bennett Pate Hogan, Jr. of Valdosta, GA; Haley Greer Hogan of Valdosta, GA; Catherine Claire Hogan of Valdosta, GA; Emory Ross Hogan of Valdosta, GA; Paul Rouzie Hogan of Clemson, SC; and Jackson Thomas Hogan of Clemson, SC. The family will receive friends Monday evening, May 21, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 p.m. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
