Robert L. Buchanan, 86, of Dartmouth passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at home. He was the husband of Elaine E. (Osgood) Buchanan.
Born in Boston, he was son of the late William and Madeline (Hickey) Buchanan. He was the owner / operator of Buchanan Elevator Company in Boston. Mr. Buchanan was a member of the Fall River Rod and Gun Club and the New England Region Cadillac and LaSalle Club of MA.
Including his wife, survivors include 3 sons: Robert L. Buchanan of Boston, Gregory W. Buchanan of FL and Mark J. Buchanan of Quincy; a daughter: Laura B. Woodward and her husband Mark of Milton; a sister: Alice Synnott of Roslindale; and 5 grandchildren: Casper, Amber, Jared, Ian and Greer.
He was father of the late Stephen E. Buchanan.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, May 21, 2018 at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 10:30 AM.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 1 - 3 PM at the Potter Funeral Home.
