Mrs. Virginia (Cotman) Coleman, a longtime resident of Medford and beloved wife of the late David Coleman, passed away at her home in Sunday morning, May 13, 2018. She was 93 years old.
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on September 4, 1924, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Catherine Cotman. Mrs. Coleman earned her Masters degree from Cambridge College. She was a Program Director for Youth Services. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to the Opera, sewing and raising her plants. She also loved to read and go shopping. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law; Mark I. and his wife Jocelyn Coleman of Wilmington, granddaughter; Courtney E. Coleman of Medford, sister; Hanne Cotman of New Jersey, nieces and nephews; Carol Hogan of Florida, Catherine Cotman of North Carolina, John Cotman of Washington, DC and Roger Cotman of Medford, grand nieces and grand nephews; Langston Cotman, Curtis Hoghan and Riley and Logan Cotman. She was also the sister of the late Dan Cotman and sister-in-law of the late Barbara Cotman.
Her Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be held on Friday,, May 18, 2018, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be privately held.
