Howard V. Morrissey age 89 of Canton went to his eternal reward May 9th. Born in Newburgh, N.Y., he was raised in Otisville, NY and graduated from Immaculata High School in Manhattan and St. Michael’s College in Vermont and was an Army Veteran of WW II and a recipient of the World War II Victory Medal. He worked as an Insurance Agent and Financial Planner for the Knights of Columbus Council #2095 in Canton for many years and previously worked as a Salesman for Motorola. Howie loved golf and listening to music. He had lived in Canton for over 40 years before moving to Pine Hills in Plymouth fo 5 years and moved back to Canton in 2012.
Beloved husband of the late Jeanette W. (Walsh). Father of Jennifer Wadland and her husband Robert of Braintree and the late Susan Morrissey Franz. Grandfather of Hailey and Matthew Wadland and Shelby Franz. Brother in law of Lorraine Walsh of S. Boston, Kathleen Walsh of Braintree and Thomas Walsh of Harwich. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Sunday 4-6:30 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Gerard Majella Church Canton Monday morning at 10 am. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery. | |||||
