Loving father of Robert M. and his wife Judy of Attleboro, Mark A. of Dedham and Laurie Ahearn and her husband Michael of Bridgewater. Cherished Grampa of Katie, Michael, Conor, Brittany, Ciara, Ian and Owen. Great-Grampa of Maeve and Julia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late William Byrne and Margaret Farr. Robert was a proud member of Boston local 12. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS West Point during WWII. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, WEST ROXBURY on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Teresa of Avila Chapel at 10 o’clock.
