CONLEY, George A., Jr. 93, passed away peacefully at the Deutsches Altenheim on April 8, 2018. George was born in Boston on Christmas Day in 1924 to George and Mary Conley and lived most of his adult life in Dedham. He is survived by his brother, Robert of West Roxbury, and sisters Anne Sheehan of West Roxbury and Joan Gramer of Norwood. He was predeceased by his brothers John and Richard and sister, Claire Begin. He is also survived by his godchildren, Kathy Wagner and Kathy Martin and many other nieces and nephews. When George turned seventeen in 1941, he left Boston English High to join the Navy and spent four years during WWII aboard the U.S.S. Denver in the Pacific Ocean. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, George went to work for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston until his retirement. Funeral services and interment are private. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 4:00 PM at St. Theresa of Avila Chapel, West Roxbury, on Monday, May 21, 2018.
