NEW YORK ~ Christina M. (Morris) Trikas, 93, of New York, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, March 18, 2018. She passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in New Haven, Connecticut on February12, 1925, a beloved daughter of the late John and Anastasin (Manerakis) Morris. She was raised in New Haven and had moved to New York in 1956. Above all, she was a loving and devoted mother who will be greatly missed by her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, John J. Trikas who was Called Home on June 10, 1997. She leaves her three loving children, Joanne, James and William Trikas, all of New York; her dear sister, Sophie Mitchell of Connecticut; her dear sister-in-law, Helen Papayianakis of Massachusetts; and her many dear extended family members and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, (Please meet directly at the Cathedral), 2320 Main Street, Springfield, MA 01107. Her Burial will follow the Funeral Service at Oak Grove Cemetery, 426 Bay Street, Springfield, MA 01109. Her family will receive friends on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the St. Pierre - Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107. Her family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 22 Saint George Road, Springfield, MA 01104.
