FALL RIVER – Jose P. Camara, age 77 of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 with his family by his side. Born in Santo António, alem Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Antonio & Adelina (Perreira) Camara and the beloved husband of Maria N. (Medeiros) Camara. Prior to retiring, Jose worked as a maintenance man in environmental services and he was also a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his sons: Paul Camara, Helder Camara, Jose Antonio Camara, & Angelo G. Camara all of Fall River; his siblings: Moises P. Camara of Fall River, Antonieta P. Camara of Portugal, & Margarida P. Tavares of Canada; five grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Monday calling hours from 8:00-9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
