FALL RIVER… Emilia A. (Almeida) Silva, 94, of Fall River passed away March 5, 2018 at her home.
She was the widow of Manuel F. Silva.
Born in Penalva Do Castelo, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Jaoquim and Diolinda (Amaral) Almeida. She moved to Fall River in 1975.
Mrs. Silva was a communicant of Espirito Santo Church, Fall River.
Survivors include her daughters: Delfina Soares, Maria Marques, Lourdes Rodrigues and Irene Morandi, all of Fall River; 2 sisters: Carlota Domingos of Portugal and Maria Pinto of Fall River; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Jose Silva and sister of the late Francisco Almeida, Olivia Amaral Fernandes, Virginia Sousa, Anibal Almeida and Daniel Almeida.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday, March 16, 2018 at 9 AM from the South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Espirito Santo Church, 311 Alden St. Fall River, MA 02723. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.
