FALL RIVER – William E. Collard, age 84, passed away on March 4, 2018 surrounded by his family at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Ruth Yvette (Berube) Collard. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Ovila and Irene (Pineau) Collard. William was a volunteer to support several children’s activities, including the Police Athletic League. People would say he was a happy spirit and loved life.
William is survived by his children Ann Lee Mylnek (husband Steven) of Fall River, Donna Shafer of CA, Roland Collard of Fall River, Cheryl Pereira of Fall River, Deborah Bruce (husband Richard) of NY, Joseph Collard (wife Michelle) of RI, Richard Collard of Fall River, Cheryl Kingman of Fall River and Christopher Humphreys (wife Florence) of Fall River; one living brother; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by 2 siblings.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday here at 7:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Holy Cross Chapel at 9 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on Friday from 4-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
