Dolores L. (Scibelli) LaFromboise

LUDLOW – Dolores L. (Scibelli) LaFromboise, 74, of Ludlow, was Called Safely Home on Friday, February 23, 2018. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on June 7, 1943, a beloved daughter of the late Michael M. and Anna (DiVenuto) Scibelli. She was raised on Dale Street in the South End section of Springfield and lived there for many years before moving to Ludlow in 1970 where she lived the remainder of her life. She was last employed as a Receptionist at the former Farm Credit Bank in Agawam and had previously been employed at the former King’s Department Store in Winchester Square in Springfield and later in Ludlow. She was a communicant of The Catholic Community of Saint Elizabeth at Saint John the Baptist Church in Ludlow. Most of all, she was a wonderful homemaker to her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Edward L. LaFromboise. They were married on July 1, 1961 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Springfield and were blessed with over 56 years of happiness together. She also leaves her three loving children, James D. LaFromboise and his wife, Trisha, of Ludlow, Craig LaFromboise of Holyoke and Michele Harrington and her husband, Ernest, of Chicopee; her seven cherished grandchildren who affectionately called her “Meme”, Ashley O’Dea and her husband, Kevin, Nicholas LaFromboise and his fiancée, Chelsea Porowski, Tyler LaFromboise, Jason Besner, Ryan LaFromboise, Timothy Harrington and Kimberlee Harrington; her dear sister, Phyllis Bell of Springfield; her three dear brothers, Henry Scibelli and his fiancée, Kathy Bourque, of Ludlow, and Joseph Scibelli and his wife, Gail, and Dennis Scibelli and his wife, Christine, all of Wilbraham; her two dear sisters-in-law, Beatrice Axiotis of Springfield and Rita Martin and her husband, Jack, of Ludlow; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the LaFromboise , Scibelli and DiVenuto families. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her two dear sisters-in-law, Mary Almeida and her husband, Joseph, and Esther Dominique and her husband, Leo; and her four dear brothers-in-law, Robert Bell, Sam Axiotis, Albert LaFromboise and Alexander LaFromboise. Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday morning, February 28, 2018 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at The Catholic Community of Saint Elizabeth Parish at Saint John the Baptist Church, 191 Hubbard Street, Ludlow, MA 01056. Her Burial will follow the Mass at Saint Michael Cemetery, 1601 State Street, Springfield, MA 01109. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
