Robert Schofield, 93, of Westport, peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 with his family by his side. He was the husband of Valorie J. (Crossman) Schofield and the late Ethelyn (Payson) Schofield.
Mr. Schofield was born in New Bedford, son of the late Robert M. and Jeanne (Norwood) Schofield and had been a longtime resident of Westport. A veteran of WWII, he served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing on the Westport River.
Survivors along with his wife include his 4 sons: Robert M. Schofield, Scott D. Schofield, Paul C. Schofield and Keith A. Schofield; 4 daughters: Martha L. Duarte-Rudnik, Nancy L. Goski-Schofield, Rebecca A. Schofield and Beth E. Ferreira; 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Gilbert Schofield, Milton Schofield, David Schofield, Bradford Schofield and Grant Schofield.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Dartmouth Bible Church at 10:00 A.M.
