SOMERSET – Helen (Travis) Schofield, age 82 formerly of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018 in Lakeland, FL. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick E. Schofield Jr and the daughter of the late Joseph C. & Laura (Botelho) Travis. She was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School and had worked for the Commonwealth of MA Dept. of Transitional Assistance as an office clerk. She had been a parishioner of St. John of God Church, loved spending time with her family and enjoyed camping with friends.
Survivors include her dear nephew & caregiver William Yates of Lakeland, FL, her brother Joseph C. Travis (wife Barbara) of Somerset, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Dolores Marie Platt.

Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018 from 4-8 P.M.
