Lena M. (Terrazzano), Perreco 90 of West Roxbury, went to heaven on February 12, 2018. She joins her adoring husband, Joseph, and her beloved son, John. Lena is survived by her daughter Rosemarie Perreco and her long-time friend, Joe Paulini of Needham, her daughter Kathy Licciardi and her husband Ken of Sharon, and all of the many people who became her family over the last 12 years at Hebrew Senior Life in Roslindale.
Lena was born and raised in the West End of Boston and she and Joe raised their family in West Roxbury. Theirs was the epitome of a loving Italian home; Sunday dinners that lasted hours, sauce simmering on the stove, fresh laundry on the line, and Lena, always ready to make tea, sit and chat.
In 2004, Lena suffered a stroke which left her partially paralyzed. Not one to complain, she embraced the next chapter of her life with optimism, enthusiasm and laughter. Lena was fun, feisty, spirited and wise, with a big smile and a hug for everyone. Lena will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched.
