Albert E. Cronin. 66
Dateline: Norton, MA
Albert E. Cronin, 66, of Norton, formerly of Quincy, passed away Saturday February 10, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Boston on June 14, 1951, he was the loving son of the later Albert E and Margaret (O’Keefe) Cronin.
Al grew up in Milton until age 7 when the family moved to Quincy. He is a graduate of North Quincy High School. He has made Norton his home for the past 30 plus years. After graduating from North Quincy High School, he enlisted in the Army and served during the Vietnam War.
Al worked in the construction field for years and loved talking real estate. He enjoyed being on a tractor, working his acreage out in the “back 40” with his son and grandson. He was one of a kind and had a great sense of humor. He’d do anything for anyone that needed it.
He is survived by his son Lucas Cronin of Norton, his daughter Alexandria Cronin of Boston and his sister Mary Ellen Cunniff and brother-in-law Bill of Quincy. He is predeceased by his sister Margaret M. Cronin. Devoted Grandfather of Mason Cronin and Uncle of Will Cunniff.
Everyone that knew Al is better for having known him and will miss him greatly. Al enjoyed spending time at the Norton VFW. Al’s world centered around his kids. His favorite times were those spent with Lucas, Alexandria and Mason. Al will be sorely missed by his family every day but will never be forgotten. He will live on in our memories.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours in celebration of his life on Sunday, February 18th from 2:00-5:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. A reception will follow at the Norton VFW, 38 Summer St., Norton.
