CHICOPEE- Mary E. (Sypek) Moore, 70, of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, February 3, 2018. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on April 3, 1947, a beloved daughter of the late John P. and Mona C. (Murphy) Sypek. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee High School and was a lifelong resident of Chicopee. She was employed for over 25 years as a Travel Agent at The Cruise Store in East Longmeadow. During her leisure time, Mary enjoyed quilting and being a loving homemaker to her family. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, James “Terry” Moore. They were married on April 15, 1967 at Saint Anthony of Padua Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 50 years of happiness together. She also leaves her two loving children, Michael J. Moore of Port St. Lucie, FL and Shannon L. Sheets and her husband, William, of Springfield; her three cherished grandchildren, Samantha Moore, Dylan Moore and Nicholas Sheets; her dear brother, John Sypek of Chicopee; her three dear sisters-in-law, Carol Sypek, Frances Godek of West Springfield and Elaine Moore of Springfield; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Moore and Sypek families. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her dear brother, Martin Sypek; her dear brother-in-law, John T. “Bosco” Moore; and her dear sister-in-law, Deborah A. Moore. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend a Service of Committal on Thursday afternoon, February 8, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.
