FALL RIVER… David T. Powell, 70, of Fall River passed away January 27, 2018 at The Tremont in Wareham.
Born in Findlay, OH, he was a son of the late Troy E. and Ruth (Strait) Powell.
Mr. Powell was a veteran of the United States Army. He served during the Vietnam War, earning his Parachute Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Expert M-16 and Sharpshooter M-14. He worked as a General Contractor for many years prior to his retirement.
Survivors include his daughters: Brandy Powell, Tracey Beck and her husband David, Kelly Powell and Nicky Laytart; his step-sons: Eric Wilcox and his wife Jennifer and Patrick Wilcox; his brothers: Timothy D. Powell and his companion Tom Susdorf, and Dennis R. Powell and his wife Martha; his grandchildren: Christian, Taylor, Marina, Erin, Zachary, Dalton, Jasmine, Halee, Sonny, Ella, Jadin and Claire; his great grandchildren: Aleiah and Mariah; several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Patricia S. Powell and Daniel E. Powell.
Services for Mr. Powell will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA 02723.
