George McGoldrick, 85 passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 12, 2018 in Venice Florida. Beloved husband of Elaine McGoldrick. Loving father of Mary McGoldrick of St. Simons Island, GA, George McGoldrick and his wife Linda of Batavia IL, Michael McGoldrick and his wife Maureen of Woburn MA,David McGoldrick and his wife Margaret of Temecula CA, Ken and Joan Kartes of Melrose MA, and Chris Kartes andTerry Goclonof Tega Cay, SC. Cherished Grandfather of Lindsay, George, Evan and his wife Laura, Mark McGoldrick and JonathanKartes. Dear brother of Fred McGoldrick and his wife Diane of Canton MA. Brother-in-law Charlie Malloy of Bethesda MD. Brother of the late Connie Englert and Mary Malloy.
George was born on December 31, 1932 in Boston MA to the late Mary and CecilMcGoldrick. George grew up in West Roxbury MA graduating from Boston CollegeHigh School, attending St. John’s Seminary for a few years and graduating from BostonCollege.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Holy Name Church, 1689 Centre Street in West Roxbury MA. Interment will be private.
George began his career working for his father’s company McGoldrick, Joyce and Company
in Boston until 1968, and then for many years as the NationalSales manager for Chicago Dietetic and Sandoz. George retired at the age of 55, enjoying 30 years of retirement.
