LYDON, Brigid P. (McDonagh) of Walpole formerly of Jamaica Plain and Leiterard Carna, County Galway, Ireland, January 12, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Coleman J. “Coley” Lydon. Loving mother of Joseph and his wife Ann of Dorchester, Sean and his wife Keri of Roslindale, Colm and his wife Colleen of Jamaica Plain, Mathias and his wife Debra of Walpole, Padraic and his wife Kathleen of Roslindale, Liam and his wife Sonia of Jamaica Plain, Deirdre and her husband Patrick Welch of Walpole and the late Baby Boy Lydon. Also survived by 19 devoted grandchildren and the late great-grandchildren Leah and Coleman. Devoted Sister of Ellen “Nell” Kenny, Nan O’Neil, and the late Mary McDonagh, Johnny McDonagh, Mathias McDonagh and Catherine McDonagh. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Wednesday January 17th at 9am. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 2pm – 8pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Forest Hills Cemetery. Brigid immigrated to Boston in 1948 and began her life in America by working with the Honorable James Michael Curley. In 1955, she married Coley and they raised their children in Jamaica Plain. Brigid loved to cook and loved her family and friends especially when they came by to have a cup of tea.
