Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandma
Age 80 of Oakdale passed away peacefully Sunday, January 7, 2018. Preceded in death by parents; sisters Katherine and Theodora; daughter Michelle Sell; and husband of 50 years Vearl Johnson. Survived by daughter Monica (John) Wagener; grandchildren Chris, Ashley, Jacob, Emma, Katherine; and great-granddaughter Audriana; also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She graduated from Loyola HS in Mankato in 1955, and went on to attend the College of St Catherine in St Paul where she received a degree in Nursing. Worked for St Joseph's Hospital in St Paul where she worked as a surgical, post coronary and medical floor nurse for 45 years until retirement. She was a loving and dedicated mother, grandma and friend. She never missed a game or activity that involved her children or grandchildren. She always put others first. She loved music, going to the theater and was in the church choir and volunteered at school. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, January 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at TRANSFIGURATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 6133 - 15th St. N, Oakdale MN. Visitation at the church one hour preceding Mass. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Special thanks to the staff at the Gables of Boutwells Landing and Lakeview Hospice.
