Kristin Grace Rocha (Petrie) age 47 passed away January 3rd at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Kristin was born in New York City and raised in Manhasset, N.Y. where she attended St. Mary’s through High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s in Education from Fordham University. Always passionate about children and teaching, she began her career working as a kindergarten teacher at P.S. 326 in the New York City public school district. In 2006, Kristin married Corey Rocha and relocated, where she found a new home and teaching community in Westwood, Massachusetts. Kristin was an avid reader, loved reminiscing and laughing about stories from the past, and cherished being with family and friends.
Beloved wife of Corey J. Rocha. Loving mother of Keegan, and Emma. Daughter of the late Peter and Rosemary Petrie. Sister of Maureen Emmons and her husband Charlie of Berkeley Heights, NJ, Jeanne Spitzer and her husband Gerry of Scotch Plains, NJ, James Petrie and his wife Holly of Westfield, NJ and Michael Petrie and his wife Jen of Mahwah, NJ. Daughter in law of Robert and Cynthia Rocha of Dartmouth. Sister in law of Jodie Werner of Dartmouth. Godmother of Kailey Werner. Aunt to 6 nieces and 4 nephews. Also survived by many close personal friends, including “the Hens”. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Monday 3-8 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Margaret Mary Parish 845 High St. Westwood Tuesday morning at 10. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery.
