Ethel G. Cochis, age 89 of Randolph passed away December 22nd at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth ushered into glory surrounded by loving family and friends . Born in Boston, she was raised in Roxbury and attended the Nathan Hale Elementary School, Joseph Timilty School in Roxbury and graduated from the High School of Practical Arts where she had perfect attendance. She worked for many years at her parent’s grocery store, Dudley Fruit Co., in Roxbury. She also was an Usherette at the Boston Opera House for many years, a volunteer at the Songtime Ministry in Braintree and a talented seamstress and taught sewing classes. She has lived in Randolph for over 50 years.
Beloved mother of Gregory P. Marrone of Weymouth, John P. Marrone of Foxboro, Nicholas P. Marrone of Taunton, Andrea E. Farretta of Weymouth and the late Holly E. Hall. Daughter of the late Nicholas Cochis and Sotire Christo. Sister of Louise Florance of CA. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Wednesday morning at 11. Visiting hours prior to the service Wednesday morning 10 to 11 am. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery. | |||||
