SPRINGFIELD – Jean M. (Roberge) Pydych, 89, of the East Springfield section of Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Monday, November 27, 2017. She passed into Eternal Life at the East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Springfield on January 2, 1928, the beloved daughter of the late Adelord J. and Stella H. (Beaulieu) Roberge. She was raised in Greenfield, graduated from Greenfield High School and had moved to Springfield in 1947 where she lived the remainder of her life. She was employed as a film developer at the former 3M Kodak Company in Springfield. She was a communicant of Mary, Mother of Hope Church and also was a member of the East Springfield Golden Age Club, both in Springfield. Above all, she loved spending time with her loving family and her many dear friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Louis F. Pydych who was Called Home on January 9, 1994. They were married on September 21, 1946 in Greenfield and were blessed with over 47 years of happiness together. She leaves her loving daughter and son-in-law, Joyce A. Tyrell and her husband, John, of Springfield; her cherished granddaughter, Annemarie Benton and her husband, Matthew; and her many dear nephews, nieces and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Prayer Service on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery, 161-165 Wisdom Way, Greenfield, MA 01301. There are no visiting hours at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107.
